Oak Class had a fantastic visit to Hoo Zoo to complement their Wonderful World topic. In advance of the visit the children were feeling curious, they researched Hoo Zoo and created some questions they could aim to ask an answer. On arrival at the Zoo the children enjoyed looking carefully at a range of animals and reading the information to learn more about their names, habitats and diets. The children particularly enjoyed a keeper talk about the three Wolves, they listened with interest and ask lots of questions. They all had the opportunity to meet an albino skunk and again find out lots about it! After lunch, we were very excited to visit the Hoo-rasic World and the Land of Beasts, the children were excited to check the names of each dinosaur or beast, how long ago they lived and their diet. To finish our day pupils visited lemurs and llamas, the reptile house and then even found Cinnamon (the world famous Capybara), before heading back to school!
