We were so lucky to welcome Kate, a local midwife to ‘People who help us’ club last night! Kate told us all about her role as a midwife: how she helps to take care of pregnant ladies and their babies and continues to care for them after they are born. The children had the challenge to sort fruit and vegetables into the right order alongside the weeks of development: we learnt a baby begins the size of a poppy seed and ends up the size of a watermelon! We were then so lucky to be able to hear the live heartbeat of a real baby using an ultrasound and had the chance to hear each other’s heart beat too! Thank you so much to our wonderful visitors!
