Year 1 have been exploring number bonds to 10 this week. They started off by building 10 out of multilink and then finding different ways to partition the 10 to give them their number bonds. They have learnt the new vocabulary ‘number bond’ and are beginning to understand that a number bond to 10 is a pair of numbers which add up to 10.
