This week we have been reading a story by Julia Donaldson, ‘Room on the Broom’We talked about the different characters in the story and drew a picture of our favourite. Some people liked the dragon, some people liked the muddy monster and some people liked the witch and the cat!
The next day we read the story again but this time we thought about the magic potion the witch made in her cauldron. We went to forest school and found 4 items we would put into our own cauldron… leaves, brown, red, yellow, sticks wide and narrow, grass, pine cone, bark, acorns… we then made a magic wand with a stick and a golden leaf ready to cast a spell – Iggerty, ziggerty, zaggerty, zoom!
